Aaron
and Kelly Robbins
from Rocket Relay
Details:
Date:
Saturday and Sunday, May 15 & 16
Time: 8 am- 5 pm
Location: El
Camino Park, Palo Alto directions
Registration:
Dog/Handler Pair: $175
Auditor: $75
Lunch: $15/both days, $7.50/one day
(due
to the hands-on nature of this workshop, we are limiting the
dog/handler pairs to a total of 32)

Lunch Information:
Although
the seminar site is not far from a variety of restaurants, in order
to stay on schedule, we'd like to encourage folks to keep lunch short.
We will offer an optional lunch each day.
If you would like to join us for lunch on site, here is
the menu and pricing:
Saturday lunch will be Chicken Caesar Salad, roll, soda/water & cookie
for $7.50
Sunday lunch menu is not yet confirmed, but it will be the same
price.
Please let
us know if you want lunch, and for one or both days.
Contact Amy
Mayfield at Amelda3@aol.com for lunch sign ups by
May 10. We will only be preparing food for those
signed up. Please
indicate if you need vegetarian.
You may also bring your own lunch,
and there are fast food places nearby.

Flyball Box:
Since
a lot of the seminar will be covering box work, try to bring your own
box if you can.

Tennis Balls:
We
will have plenty of regular-sized tennis balls, but if you would
like to use something different, please bring a supply of those.

Private Lessons:
Aaron & Kelly
will be happy to do a limited number of private lessons, both one-on-one
and team lessons. This is a good chance for you to work another dog
other than the one you're working, get a little work in with your
dog if you're Auditing, or just spend a little extra time with the
Robbins. The length of time for the one-on-one, according to the
Robbins, depends on how much time they spend talking with the owner
and how long the dog can last, but it's around 30 minutes.
The
rates are $30 for each one-on-one session. These sessions will
be held immediately after the seminar each day. Please let
us know right away if you would like such a session, and if
you prefer Saturday or Sunday (if you don't have a strong preference,
tell us, so we can try to fit everyone in).

Video Taping:
Per
the Robbins, you are allowed to video tape the sessions with your
own dog (only).

Miscellaneous Notes:
A
couple of you have asked if there is anything you can do ahead of time,
and here are a couple of ideas. One is to refresh your clicker skills.
The other is to time your dog during runs, breaking it down to run-out,
box, and recall times. This will give you an idea of things you can
ask the Robbins to help you with.

Motel Information: Please
note that these rates, pet acceptance, and availability may change, but
this is what was true when we asked. There are several more hotels nearby
that don't take dogs.
The Best Western Garden Court Inn has offered us a very
special price of $59 per night, with no pet fee! (plus tax) This hotel
is approximately twenty minutes from the tourney site, and located right
off highway 880. (Yes, this is the same hotel we used for our tourney
last year, and will be again this year, so you may want to book for both
weekends now! (August 7 & 8, mention: Flyball to
get this rate )
Amenities include Deluxe Continental Breakfast, Complimentary Parking,
Room Service, Pool and Jacuzzi. They have lots of grassy areas,
and the site is on three acres.
